Travel

We recommend road travel to get to Odin’s Rest but during your stay, there are other options for days out, should you wish.

  • Buses: The Castle Line bus route passes Odin’s Rest with the nearest bus stop being in Bulmer village (down the hill and up the other side!) York > Sheriff Hutton > Bulmer > Castle Howard > Malton
  • Trains: Mainline Stations can be found in Malton and York. Pickering also has the historic North Yorkshire Moors Railway
  • Cycling: Every which way!
  • Walking: There are a number of local public footpaths leading off from Stittenham Hill (taking you in most directions), the first being directly opposite our entrance. For avid walkers, you can easily join up with one of the following major Yorkshire walks of The Centenary Way or The Ebor Way too.
